There is some star power in this Dallas-Toronto matchup with Paige Bueckers and Marina Mabrey, two of the six leading scorers in the WNBA. So the perception is this will be a very high scoring game. Toronto does not have good defensive numbers.
But there are a number of key factors that point to an Under.
This is a matinee game. That often is a plus for the Under.
The Wings surrender the fifth fewest points in the league. They have held their last three opponents to an average of 82.3 points a game.
The Tempo's defense should improve as their key frontcourt players - Nyara Sabally, Isabelle Harrison and Temi Fagbenle - are now all healthy. That means better rim protection.
The Wings are a below average 3-point shooting and free throw shooting team. Ball hog Arike Ogunbowale has been cold, making only 10-of-45 (22 percent) of her shots from the floor during the past five games.
