The Astros and Toronto meet and the Astros have the value. Houston fell in the opener on Monday, but they’re still playing well overall and continue to pace the AL West. They turn to Hayden Wesneski, who makes his 2nd start after nearly getting a quality start in a win over the Angels. Trey Yesavage will counter and he’s going to struggle against a Houston lineup that has typically bounced back after poor performances. They have been solid all year for the most part and they’re one of the best when it comes to timely hitting. Toronto has been inconsistent just as a whole and this is a good spot to fade them. Back the Astros.

Cleveland and New York begin a 3 game set and we’re backing the Guards in the opener. These two teams went opposite ways at the deadline on Monday as the Mets went the prospect route, while Cleveland brought in help to try and go for it in the AL Central. Joey Cantillo will get the ball and he owns a solid 3.88 ERA so far this season. He threw 4.0 scoreless innings against the Reds last time out and he’ll have a solid advantage against this depleted Mets lineup. Sean Manaea counters at just 2-5 and he’s been incredibly inconsistent this season. The vibe in this Cleveland clubhouse will be upbeat Tuesday and they’re going to have a lot of confidence heading into this series. Back the Guardians.

Ray Monohan has been an incredible handicapper for college basketball. He finished second in 2012-13 and was ninth in 2014-15. Over his last 400 NCAA basketball picks he’s hitting 60%! That’s not a typo.
Of course, Ray has strong results in many sports. He has top 5 finishes in NHL, CBB, MLB, and NFL handicapping. In fact, his all sports streak right now is 376-317 and has made over $3,800 in profit.
