Philadelphia and Atlanta have value to the over. Philadelphia sends out Tim Mayza as an opener, in what will be a bullpen day. Phili’s bullpen is worn out from an extra inning game Friday night and they’re going to struggle against a red hot Braves offense. Atlanta counters with Tyler Mahle, who is just 5-10 this season with an ERA over 4. Philadelphia’s offense continues to manufacture runs and they’re putting a lot of traffic on the bases. Both teams are going to put together scoring chances and put a lot of pressure the opposing pitchers. Back the over.

Saturday 4* MLB O/U Play

MTSU and Marshall have value to the under. Marshall’s offense is going to struggle mightily this season. They were shut out by Penn State and never really threatened in a game where they just couldn’t stay on the field. MTSU allowed just 14 points to Murray State and they have the size and speed to match Marshall. Offensively, they will go up against a Marshall defense that will come out some purpose. This will be a very slow developing game, especially early, where both teams will try to slow the game down. Neither offense has a lot of down field threats, which will result in a lot of short plays and the clock continuing to move. This has the makings of a low scoring, grind it out style of game. USC and ULL meet out west and the over is the move. USC’s offense has looked like a well oiled machine so far this year putting up 42 and 38 points in their first two games of the season. Their defense did shut out Fresno State, but they allowed 26 to San Jose State in Week 0. The defensive issues for USC have stemmed back a few years and ULL loves to play fast. They put up 38 on Lamar in their opening win and they’ll find success with their ability to get to the edges. This game will feature a lot of chunk plays and both offenses taking their fair share of shots down field. Expect a high scoring game. Back the over.

Saturday 2* NCAAF O/U Play

UNDER 49.5

Kansas State and Washington State meet on Saturday and the under is the move. Washington State struggled last week moving the ball against the Huskies in the Apple Cup and this Kansas State defense is just as good. They allowed just 3 points in their opener and they aren’t shy about producing a lot of different blitz packages. We saw WSU struggle with the Huskies ability to get into the backfield and that will be the case once again. Washington State is going to lean on their defense all season and this game will be no different. Kansas State loves to run the ball and work the clock and they’ll try to establish that early. With WSU having to play this game 9am local time on the east coast, expect some sluggish play early offensively. Back the under.

Saturday 2* NCAAF O/U Play

Tulsa -13.5

Tulsa and Sam Houston State meet and Tulsa is the move. Tulsa opened their season with an impressive win against Oklahoma State, a game in which they dominated defensively. They allowed just 10 points and controlled the line of scrimmage, putting relentless pressure in the backfield. Their defense is going to once again have a field day with Sam Houston State front and will continue to wear them down as this game goes on. Sam Houston State struggled against Troy in their Week 1 game and this is a step up in competition. This is a great value spot for Tulsa to control the game from the start. Back Tulsa.

Saturday 3* NCAAF ATS Play

Virginia Tech -19.5

Virginia Tech and Old Dominion meet on Saturday and the Hokies have value. Virginia Tech is in a revenge spot after they fell to Old Dominion last season and with the James Franklin era starting this year, this will be a game they want to come out and avenge that. Virginia Tech started things off with a bang putting up 73 on VMI and the offense is going to be able to carry that momentum into play. Old Dominion scored 31 on Norfolk State in Week 1, but they still don’t have the firepower to keep up. This Hokies’ offense has a much more dynamic feel to it and the firepower they have is going to ultimately turn this game into a very lopsided one. Back the Hokies.
