The Sabres won both games in Boston and they won’t be intimidated here. They are the better team and they have been very solid on the road this season. This is another case where the oddsmakers are giving too much respected to the team with the more popular name. But the Bruins are not the same team they have been in past years and they are not a championship contender. Neither is Buffalo, but they are the better team in this matchup and they will advance tonight.
Orlando has covered four of five in this series and we are a bit surprised they are getting this much value here in Game 6 with a chance to close out the series at home. The Magic had a disappointing regular season. But this team is built for the postseason and that has shown so far. The one game Orlando didn’t cover was that Game 2 in Detroit where the Magic struggled shooting from the floor and only scored 83. Franz Wagner is out for Orlando but they have been playing great team basketball and unselfishly, and that is the recipe for success with you don’t have a lot of big names on the roster. Orlando is very hard to beat at home, and if the Pistons extend this series it will likely go down to the wire.
3 Unit Play. Take #902 Chicago -150 over Arizona (2:20p.m., Friday, May 1 MLB.tv) The Cubs are playing well at the moment and scoring a ton of run. Look for them to get to Zac Gallen at some point in this game.
3 Unit Play. Take #904 Pittsburgh -135 over Cincinnati (6:45p.m., Friday, May 1 MLB.tv) The Reds are not as good as their metrics would indicate and it would not surprise me if they regress back to the mean in this series.
3 Unit Play. Take #916 New York (-1.5 RL) +115 over Baltimore (7:05p.m., Friday, May 1 MLB.tv) The Orioles played a doubleheader on Thursday and got smoked in the last game. Expect their pitching to be depleted and a rested Yankee team should be able to jump on them.
3 Unit Play. Take #917 Over 9.5 in Houston @ Boston (7:10p.m., Friday, May 1 MLB.tv) Houston scored a ton of run in game 2 of their doubleheader on Thursday and they have the worst bullpen in the league. That should set up a strong play for the over on Friday.
Our Handicapper Review for Doc’s Sports Service
Doc’s Sports has been in business for 45 years, which should be all you need to know about their ability to win. But a history of success doesn’t always mean current success. It doesn’t help you win now to find out how well Doc’s Sports did in the 1980s.
You know what does help you win? Getting on board Doc’s current 219-172 streak in all sports, earning $3,442 in profit. They’re still going strong and killing it in any sport you’d think to put money down on.
And when we say any sport, we mean it. They have top 7 finishes in football, baseball, basketball and hockey since 2010.
But what Doc’s Sports has built their reputation on is college sports. It’s rare to look at the top 10 college basketball handicappers and not see Doc’s Sports in there. They were the best in the college basketball handicapping business in 2011-2012. That’s part of a streak reaching from 2008-2013 in which they only missed the top 10 once.
MLB handicapping has also been a strong suit for Doc’s Sports, where they notched a #4 finish in 2014. They also had a #5 finish in 2012, and #4 again in 2008.
Doc is selective in Top MLB picks, but they have a high winning percentage, going 40-25 since April 2015. So it’s a good idea to pay attention when they post a pick.
Bottom line, Doc’s Sports has been in business for a long time and continues to get it done. They have unique handicappers to specialize in each sport. So no matter what you’re betting, the pick is coming from someone who knows what they’re doing.
